On 5 September 2007 Accounting Web published my article about Taxation of Virtual Profits . The mugshot of my impossibly handsome Second Life avatar that accompanies the article bears no resemblance to the deeply disappointing reality. To quote an exchange with an Italian client who I had never met and was collecting from the airport:
Client "How will I recognise you?"
Me "That's easy. I'm the tall blond ugly one with the glasses and the chin".
Client "Oh yes, I've seen your photo on the website".
Enough said!
